JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION:

Accounts Receivable Clerk

DIVISION:

Business Affairs

REPORTS TO:

Controller

CLASSIFICATION:

Full-Time, Non-Exempt (40hrs/week)

DUTIES: 

1.      Prepare all bank deposits, enter cash receipts into computer, and distribute cash sheets.

a.       WXXI – Daily

b.      The Little Theatre  – Tuesdays and Fridays or as needed, based on volume 

2.      All Accounts Receivable billings for WXXI and The Little Theatre. 

3.      Preparation and import of Daily Box Office entries for The Little Theatre. 

4.      AR reconciliation to GL for The Little Theatre and WXXI. 

5.      Assist with accounts receivable collections by communicating collection issues to appropriate personnel and being alert to payment issues. 

6.      Entering, tracking and reporting of budgets for The Little Theatre and WXXI 

7.      Grant income tracking and reporting for The Little & WXXI. 

8.      Weekly communications and reporting to movie distributors. 

9.      All licensing for food service, alcohol and entertainment for The Little. 

10.  Function as back-up for other accounting staff.  Assist with accounts payable processing of invoices, checks and database maintenance of the requisition system.  

11.  Participate in preparation of annual audit work-papers and various tax and other external reports. 

12.  Process all customer refunds for both WXXI & The Little Theatre. 

13.  Participates in fundraising activities as needed. 

14.  Other divisional duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of Associates degree in accounting preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

One year of related experience preferred.

SKILLS:

Familiarity with general ledger systems, spreadsheets (Excel), general computer literacy. Accuracy in work, critical thinking and analytical skills.
