Gibbs & Main
Gibbs & Main
Fri, 04/20/2012 - 1:00pm
The chamber music ensemble will share music from their EuphoNY 2012 project and their soon to-be-released CD. Watch online!
Gibbs & Main join host Julia Figueras on Backstage Pass, Friday, April 20 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD 91.5-1.
Founded in 2002 by Karine Stone and Diego Garcia and formerly known as Quartsemble, Gibbs & Main is an innovative ensemble based in Rochester, New York. The group, comprised of five professional musicians, performs classical masterpieces side by side with Latin music and more contemporary repertoire in both traditional and unexpected settings. Gibbs & Main is known for its interactive educational concerts for children and adults, often performing in schools, churches, and libraries, as well as restaurants, art galleries, and parks, bringing high-caliber performances to a wide range of audiences.
The Backstage Pass performance will be video-streamed live on the Backstage Pass website (at WXXI.org/backstage-pass) and will be available following the broadcast.
Backstage Pass is a live, hour-long radio series that is committed to highlighting performing artists – giving Classical 91.5/90.3/FM-HD 91.5-1 listeners the opportunity to hear local and visiting musicians performing live. The series is made possible in part by a grant from the Gouvernet Arts Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation.

Just wondering where Diego went and who is playing the cello these days. Looking forward to your CD release on Sept. 21st.
