After three decades, a public radio staple comes to an end!
By Ruth Phinney ~ Posted Mon, 03/05/2012 - 11:53am
For nearly three decades, WXXI-FM has been bringing St. Paul Sunday to listeners from 12:00-1:00 p.m. For the past five years, 91.5 listeners have been hearing archival programs from St. Paul Sunday as the show was no longer in production. Now, American Public Media has decided to discontinue its distribution altogether. The last broadcast of St. Paul Sunday will be on Sunday, April 1st. Taking its place, WXXI has decided to bring listeners the full four hours of Sunday Baroque with Suzanne Bona which will air from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each Sunday. Fans of Bill McGlaughlin can still tune in to hear Bill’s musical explorations each weekday evening at 7:00 p.m. on Exploring Music.
