Bad news for the RPO

First of all, thank you for reading my blog. Thanks, too, to the creative readers who submitted captions in my contest. I'll announce the winner early next week, after I poll a panel of non-experts.
Today, a bit of news about the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
Every summer for nineteen years, the RPO has played in one of the most prestigious music festivals in the country. That run ended this week. Organizers of the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival announced the RPO will be replaced by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Reasons? “Financial and artistic,” says Bravo! Exec John Giovando. Click here to read more.
