2008 marks 25 years and over 800 Hearts of Space programs broadcast on over 300 public radio stations nationwide.
From its national launch in January 1983 until today, Hearts of Space has captured and retained listener devotion through its signature style of ambient, space, and contemplative music, and its uncompromising production values. The program delivers wordless immersive music experiences of consistent quality and emotional impact.
To celebrate "25 Years In Space," Hearts of Space will be featuring classic shows selected from our Archive. Between February 22, 2008 and October 2, 2009, Hearts of Space has scheduled one classic show each month, for a total of 25 in the series.
We at WXXI know that "space music" isn't for everyone. But we also know that we have a very loyal and significant audience for "Hearts of Space," "Echoes," and "Music of the 21st Century." We'd love to know what you think. Please share your thoughts and reflections on how "space music" compliments your Classical 91.5/90.3 listening.
