Volunteer for WXXI and Have a Festival!

Yes, we know that Winter is still blowing snow around our Rochester communities, but Spring and Summer are not far away. The warmer season brings us not only sun and fun; it brings us all of those great festivals the Rochester area is so well known for.
WXXI participates in many of these festivals and we need volunteers to help us out in our booth. Booth volunteers promote and explain the many ways WXXI supports our communities with music, art, education and health programs for people of all ages.
The festivals that WXXI will be participating in this year are:
Corn Hill Festival
Park Avenue Festival
The booth will have lots of brochures and giveaways to give to the festival visitors, as well as a raffle. Many of the booth visitors are there to thank us for the WXXI programs and shows that they enjoy. Others come to get information on our programming, community outreach endeavors and to inquire about WXXI membership.
Festival volunteers spend only a few hours of the festival day in the booth. The rest of your day can be spent enjoying the attractions and vendors. A WXXI staff member will always be available to help out if needed.
So, get festive with WXXI! Let us know if you are interested in helping out at festivals. Drop us an email at [email protected] with your name, telephone number and the festival(s) you are interested in.
We will get back to you with dates and times as soon we have the duty schedules ready.
Thank you all for your continued help in keeping WXXI the great community asset that it has become.
