Volunteers Help Make Speaking of Women's Health Conference a Big Success! Thank You!

Speaking of Women's Health, WXXI's biggest event of the year, was held last Thursday on September 17. It was a big success with over 1000 women participating in sessions on all aspects of women's health.
 
The attendees  were able to see and learn about the newest in health trends, makeup, foods, exercise equipment and much more. They could even get a massage, an eyebrow wax or have various blood tests performed - at no charge!
 
Put that all together with a dynamic opening speaker, a continental breakfast and a nice lunch and you get a great day of pampering, learning and friendship.
 
Speaking of Women's Health is not only our largest event, but it also requires the most volunteer help ... and boy, did those 50 or so volunteers come through for WXXI!
 
They manned the registration area, they ran the WXXI booth, they packed the 1000 or more goodie bags that were passed out to all of the attendees, they introduced the speakers and they helped in the exhibit area.
 
We could not have done it without you! Thanks from all of the WXXI staff and the Volunteer Leadership Council for making this Speaking of  Women's Health event go more smoothly than ever before and making it the resounding success it has become. We hope to see you again next year.
