What A Summer!

This summer was certainly "eventful" for WXXI, their staff and the volunteers. We had events of all kinds: Festivals, On Stage live concerts, Speaking of Women's Health, the Open House in September and many more.
It is time for me and the rest of the Volunteer Leadership Council to thank all of the many volunteers that made it all happen and made it fun too! You make it so much easier for WXXI to produce the quality public and special events that have occurred this season. There are too many names to thank individually but be assured that the WXXI staff appreciates all that you have done and are doing for WXXI.
Volunteering for WXXI is very special to me and to all of the volunteers that work so hard to support WXXI and all public media. The folks at WXXI make it a pleasure to come in and help out, plus we enjoy ourselves and the new friends we have made through our volunteer efforts.
You have not volunteered yet? Well, with Winter coming on and outdoor activities taking up less of your time, it is time to make that step. Just click here: http://wxxi.org/support/volunteers/volunteerform.html to go to the volunteer registration form. Fill it out and submit it or leave a message on the WXXI Volunteer Hot Line - (585) 258-0235 - with your name, telephone number and the best time to call . We will give you a call as soon as we can and talk with you about what type of volunteer opportunities seem to fit your needs. Then you can come on down and tour our fabulous facility. It will blow you away!
Thanks again to all of our volunteer family for helping to make the WXXI summer events such a success. See you at the Radio Drive coming up from October 17 to October 24.
