Can you imagine an online game that helps you learn about the history and culture of Rochester? One that turns your play into support for local charities? That encourages you to collaborate with others around the city, to read the newspaper and listen to public broadcasting, and to visit interesting sites around the city? It may sound impossible...but RIT, the Democrat & Chronicle, and WXXI don't think it is!
WXXI is pleased to be a part of the 2009 Rochester Children's Book Festival, which takes place on Saturday, November 7 at Monroe Community College (1000 East Henrietta Road), from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Festival features 40 award-winning authors and illustrators from across New York and neighboring states, over 400 of their books to browse and buy, arts and craft activities, 15 picture book readings, and 11 presentations! WXXI will also be at the festival, so be sure to stop by our table! The event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free; use Lot M at MCC.
