The RPO 2014-15 broadcast season

It’s a pleasure producing these concerts for you. If you’re interested in digging deeper, you'll find extended interviews conducted by WXXI Music Director Julia Figueras On Record.  When you're traveling this summer, stream the performances anywhere at or via the WXXI app.

With warmest wishes for beautiful summer and fall seasons,

Skitty's Arts Round-up

Blogger-pianist Jeremy Denk imagines conversing with Sarah Palin about Beethoven’s “Hammerklavier” Sonata.  Composer John Adams says he's been blacklisted.  Madrigalia is commissioning American composer Libby Larsen to write a new work to be premiered in Rochester next season.  Musicians had high praise for the Eastman Wind Ensemble’s soon-to-be released CD at a listening party in New York City this week.  Skitty is looking exceptionally fluffy as we head into a cold spell, and a Dubai radio station fired a DJ for impersonating God on the air on Monday morning.

Stravinsky’s favorite instrument, etc.

More opinions pour in on renaming Eastman Theatre "Kodak Hall" in two separate articles by Democrat and Chronicle writers Matt Daneman and Anna Reguero.
