WXXI and the Little Theatre are proud to support Greentopia, the annual interactive festival that spotlights what our region is doing to embrace the green movement. The festival runs September 10-15, and in anticipation of it, WXXI-TV has been presenting an encore broadcast of Ken Burns’ six-part series The National Parks, September 2-7 at 9 p.m.
With the 12th Annual Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival upon us, WXXI and the Little are big players! The Little Theatre is an official Club Pass venue this year, which means that Little Theatre One will be transformed into a concert hall during the nine days of the festival.
Aside from screening incredible independent films, the Little Theatre is innovative in its special events that provide access to industry innovators. This weekend, both film and access come into play as The Little brings D.A. Pennebaker, one of the most influential documentary filmmakers of all time, to Rochester for a weekend music film series.
Whether you are a bargain hunter, a collector, or on the lookout for unique experiences, you should be aware that the 2013 WXXI Auction is live now! Our Annual Online Auction has nearly 5,000 items ranging from car wash certificates to a new Ford Focus to use them with.
As if having the best independent and foreign films, the best live, local music nightly, and the best popcorn in town weren't enough reasons to visit the Little Theatre — now you can go there to see one of the most talked about pieces of art in the city!
The Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival is underway — and with it WXXI's extensive jazz programming and events. WXXI will film three Jazz Festival performances at Kilbourn Hall as part of its Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival series.
