Your New Home

Your New Home

Your New Home focuses on foreclosed city homes acquired by the City of Rochester. Partnered with the Rochester Housing Development Fund Corporation, these homes are completely rehabilitated and sold to the public for owner occupancy. Viewers will see a showcase of "new houses" ready to be purchased, but will also learn more about the Home Rochester program lead by Julio Vazquez, the Commissioner of Community Development. But that's not all!  While watching Your New Home, those new to the home buying process will learn the necessary steps to take in order to get a mortgage from a local expert. Cheryl McKeiver-Downs, the director of education for the consumer credit counseling service, guides viewers  - step by step to homeownership.  Read more about this program on the City of Rochester website
