Resources for Volunteering & Becoming a Mentor
Why mentor?
Youth with mentors are less likely to skip school, less prone to violence, less likely to abuse drugs – and more likely to do well in school and more likely to graduate.

RochesterMentors.org: Rochester Mentors is an alliance of Rochester-area youth mentoring programs. They hold regular information sessions and assist potential volunteers with selecting the right program for their talents and schedule. They also supply volunteers with training and ongoing support to help them engage with youth they are mentoring.
FREEPartnerships.org: Friends of Educational Excellence (FREE) Partnerships is to support partnerships between community organizations and Rochester city public schools to help students succeed in school. They also have volunteer and mentoring opportunities.
VolunteerMatch.org: Search by entering your ZIP code, city or state and keywords describing the opportunity you're looking for. Or enter the skills you have (or would like to develop).
