Host Bill McGlaughlin gets a month head start on Rochester's annual Memorial Art Gallery Clothesline Festival, with a week of music inspired by the visual arts.

Week of August 5 - Get the Picture? Music inspired by the visual arts, including Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Hindemith's Mathis der Maler, and Rachmaninoff's Isle of the Dead.

Week of August 12 – Handel  We’ll have a week-long look at the life and music of England’s most celebrated German composer.

Week of August 19 – The Symphony, Part IX  In the next chapter in our survey of the symphony, we'll turn to Germany, Austria and France in the turbulent years after the Great War.

Week of August 26 – Sounds of the City of Light  Music in Paris from Berlioz to Debussy, from 1830 to the early 1900s.
