Tune in for this new series designed to help New Yorkers deal with troubling economic times on a grass-roots level.

Help Wanted

Help Wanted is a new series that gives New York citizens useful and trustworthy information in an accessible centralized manner regarding the factors affecting their family economic situation. Using a combination of real life stories and practical advice, the series follows the journeys of 44 New Yorkers from all walks of life, all educational levels, and located around the state. Four elements of concern are addressed in each episode: Employment Resources, Job Training, Consumer Protection, and Family Finances.

The series will also feature successful programs in cities across New York State, including the City of Rochester's Providing Real Incentive to Maintain Employment (P.R.I.M.E.) program. (Airdate for this episode has not yet been scheduled).

In addition to the series, the City of Rochester and WXXI have put together a local resource page. Click here to visit our Help Wanted resource page.

Help Wanted airs on City 12 (cable 12) Sundays at 2:30 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Wednesdays at 2 p.m. It also airs on WXXI-TV (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11) on Sundays at 4:30 p.m.
