Great Performances at the Met presents Bizet’s masterpiece, Carmen.

Elīna Garanča sings the title role opposite Roberto Alagna as Don José in director Richard Eyre’s new production of Bizet’s masterpiece. Barbara Frittoli is Micaëla and Teddy Tahu Rhodes plays the matador Escamillo. Yannick Nezet-Seguin conducts. Renee Fleming hosts the broadcast.

Great Performances at the Met "Carmen" airs Sunday, May 16 at 12 p.m. on WXXI-TV (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11).
