WXXI Open House drawing winners

At WXXI's Open House on Saturday, October 2 a handful of people left the station with some great prizes!

And, the winners were:

Nicki Hastings won the grand prize drawing courtesy of Rowe Photo, Video and Audio, a Samsung 46 inch 3D television with 3D goggles and Blue Ray DVD player capable of playing 3D DVD's. The entire package is valued at nearly $3000

Micky Sanon and David Sanford both won WXXI Production Packages – featuring many of WXXI’s own productions like Memories of Midtown, OnStage, New York Wine and Table and Luck of the Irish just to name a few!

Ken Maher and David Putnam both won the Biz Kid$ Packages with all kinds of great “stuff” from WXXI’s show Biz Kid$.

George Reynolds won the Classical Music Basket – with several Opera DVDs and CDs by Pavarotti and Renee Fleming.

Victoria Schaal won the Cooks' Basket – featuring cookbooks from PBS stars Julia Child and Lidia Bastianich, and shows like America’s Home Cooking.

Eric Hui won the Public Affairs Package with Gwen Ifill’s book, The Breakthrough and Bill’Moyer’s On Democracy, plus several DVDs from the FRONTLINE collection.

Elizabeth & Sarah Taddeo won the Classic Rock and Roll Package – with DVDs from the Ed Sullivan Show, Music of the British Invasion and hits from the 60’s and 70’s, as well as CDs from the Beatles and Rolling Stones.

Maxine Simon won the WXXI Kids backpack – with Curious George, Cookie Monster and much more!

Ann Wemes won an Insignia Portable HD  Radio.
