In celebration of Black History Month, the Little presents a free Little Buddies screening of Mighty Times: The Children's March on Saturday, February 25 at 10 a.m. The film is recommended for ages 11+. The film tells the story of courageous children of Birmingham, Alabama, who in 1963 challenged segregation in their city despite police dogs, fire hoses, and threats of arrest. Their heroism complements discussions about the ability of today's young people to be catalysts for positive social change. There will be a post film discussion by Kit Miller - Executive Director, M.K. Gandhi Institute For Nonviolence, Rochester Season For Nonviolence.
The Little Buddies Series is made possible with support from MVP Health Care. For more information, visit thelittle.org.
