WXXI celebrates Earth Day at Seneca Park Zoo with Dinosaur Train’s Buddy

Sat, 04/21/2012 - 10:00am - 4:00pm

Join WXXI and Buddy the Dinosaur at the Seneca Park Zoo as we celebrate Earth Day!

Meet your favorite dinosaur and have your picture taken with him. Plus, learn more about how you can become a Dinosaur Train Nature Tracker! By joining this free Dinosaur Train Club, you make a promise to learn about nature and do good things for your environment. If you like exploring and having adventures, collecting things, tracking and observing plants and animals, and love getting outside and making discoveries every day – you’ll make a great Nature Tracker!

In addition to enjoying all that the Zoo has to offer on Earth Day, WXXI will also be hosting:

  • A Scavenger Hunt, where you can learn about endangered species and the Seneca Park Zoo’s preservation efforts through an endangered species scavenger hunt

  • Hands-on Nature Tracker Challenge Activities

  • A free screening of an episode from Dinosaur Train

And, be sure to bring your camera so you can take pictures of the kids with Buddy.

Please note: The Dinosaur Train and Earth Day activities at the Seneca Park Zoo are free with regular zoo admission.
