When filmmaker Ian Cheney moves from rural Maine to New York City and discovers streets awash in light and skies devoid of stars, he embarks on a journey to America’s brightest and darkest corners, asking astronomers, cancer researchers and ecologists what is lost in the glare of city lights. I find it extremely unfortunate that an excellent movie like this has been buried in the middle of the night. Way to go WXXI schedulers!

More airdates for this great film!

Not to worry, these excellent films often have a handful of airtimes to reach a variety of viewers. Although POV "The City Dark" already premiered late on Thursday night for night owls, it will air again 7 more times... and soon! I hope you're able to catch it during one of the times listed below!
