DCI Banks
DCI Banks
Sun, 09/28/2014 - 11:30pm - Mon, 09/29/2014 - 12:30am
Catch this British crime drama series based on Peter Robinson's novels.
Stephen Tompkinson and Andrea Lowe star as the tenacious and stubborn Chief Inspector Alan Banks and the feisty and headstrong Detective Sergeant Annie Cabbot in a series of thrilling crime stories. DCI Banks airs Sundays, starting September 28, 2014 at 11:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV.
The Yorkshire countryside provides a striking and contrasting backdrop to these four chilling murder stories. The first episode in the series, Aftermath, airs September 28 at 11:30 p.m. When two police officers stumble across the lair of a serial killer, Inspector Banks finds himself faced with a chilling murder investigation that will test him to the limit.
In Playing with Fire, airing October 5 at 11:30 p.m., DCI Banks and DS Annie Cabbot are called to investigate an arson attack that caused two narrow boats to go up in flames. They discover a body in each boat. But who was the intended victim – the lonely book dealer, or the young girl, out of it on heroin?
In Friend of the Devil, airing October 12 at 11:30 p.m., Annie Cabbot investigates the murder of a woman found out on the moor with her throat cut. Meanwhile, Banks is called to a murder of a young girl in the centre of town. As Annie and Banks compare cases, they discover the two different murders have some disturbing similarities.
Cold is the Grave, airing October 19 at 11:30 p.m., is a case terrifyingly close to home as Banks is asked by his boss, Chief Superintendent Gerry Rydell, to find his missing teenage daughter.
