Independent Lens: Autism In Love

Wed, 08/22/2018 - 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Autism In Love follows the lives of four adults at different places on the autism spectrum opening up their personal lives as they navigate dating and romantic relationships. Eye-opening, first-person portrayals show that despite many challenges faced by those with autism, love can find a way. Through these stories, we see that autism isn’t a one-size-fits-all disorder, and just like neurotypical people (those without developmental disabilities), those on the spectrum also experience the complexity, heartache, and joy that all come when making a romantic connection. Autism in Love was acclaimed as “affectionate but clear-eyed” by The Hollywood ReporterAutism In Love airs on WXXI-World on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 6 p.m.  It will also air on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m on WXXI-World.
