As part of the Indie Lens Pop-Up Series WXXI is pleased to present The Bad Kids by Lou Pepe and Keith Fulton on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Little Theatre.

At a remote Mojave Desert high school, extraordinary educators believe that empathy and life skills, more than academics, give underserved students command of their own futures. This coming-of-age story watches education combat the crippling effects of poverty in the lives of these so-called "bad kids."  The discussion following will be moderated by Sasha-Ann Simons from WXXI News with panelists: Elaine Spaull, Executive Director Center for Youth, along with Paul Clark and Martin Johnson from The Center for Youth, Inc.
