Extraordinary educators believe that empathy and life skills, more than academics, give underserved students command of their own futures. Participate in a national Twitter chat the day of the broadcast.

At a remote Mojave Desert high school, empathy, life skills, and self-paced academics, administered by committed educators give underserved students a chance at a better future. This coming-of-age story watches education combat the crippling effects of poverty in the lives of these so-called "bad kids." The Bad Kids will air on WXXI-TV on March 20, 2017 10-11:30pm
