Produced by WQXR and Carnegie Hall, the sixth season of Carnegie Hall Live features some of the world’s best performers and ensembles in a wide range of styles, from early music to solo recitals to orchestral performances. The season kicks off with the opening night gala concert by Gustavo Dudamel conducting the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. Carnegie Hall Live airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. beginning April 12, 2017 on Classical 91.5.

Other upcoming highlights in this specially curated series include performances by the Vienna Philharmonic led by conductor Franz Welser-Möst and Staatskapelle Berlin led by Music Director Daniel Barenboim; a recital with pianists Leif Ove Andsnes and Marc-André Hamelin; and one of Sir Simon Rattle’s final Carnegie Hall concerts as music director of the Berlin Philharmonic.

Carnegie Hall Live is hosted by WQXR’s Jeff Spurgeon and John Schaefer, host of WNYC's New Sounds show and WQXR's newest program, The Furthermore.
