Mangia! Create kicks off Italian Heritage Month with select episodes from Lidia's Kitchen, Nick Stellino’s Storyteller in the Kitchen and Ciao Italia.

This trio of top chefs put on a culinary master class in authentic Italian cooking. Lidia Bastnianch shares her versions of chicken parmigiana, butternut squash gnocchi and limoncello tiramisu. Nick Stellino recreates his father’s favorite recipes, including mussels with garlic, swordfish with peas and tomato sauce, and watermelon pudding. And Mary Ann Esposito makes meatballs two ways, chicken stuffed with spinach, and a delectable mascarpone cheesecake. The Being Italian MARATHON airs Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday, October 8 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on WXXI Create.
