Internationally renowned, award-winning recording artist, performer and songwriter Pavlo Simtikidis perform this special concert from top of a mountain overlooking the city of Kastoria, in Northern Greece.

Pavlo Live in Kastoria, airing Thursday, December 7 at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV, features the musician who has made a name for himself by offering a musical amalgam he simply calls “Mediterranean music” – a blend of Greek, flamenco, Latin, and even Balkan flavours, wrapped in contemporary pop. During the broadcast, you’ll learn more about Pavlo’s April 28th concert at Hochstein and a special meet and greet opportunity.

Pavlo Live in Kastoria Pavlo is joined by Remigio Pereira of The Tenors where he sang an old classic “Acropolis Adieu” and joined Pavlo on guitar to perform “Alma del fuego”, a song off their collaboration album, “Guitarradas”.  Special guests also include G. Pinto, Lazos Ioannidis, Tasos & Tasoulis Valkanis.

Over the span of his 20-year career, Pavlo has released 11 albums of his own music, plus two collaborative projects, including 2015’s Guitarradas with Remigio Pereira, and 2009’s Trifecta with fellow guitar masters Rik Emmett and Oscar Lopez. Born in Toronto to Greek parents, Pavlo’s music has taken him all around the world. Along the way he’s performed for royalty in the likes of Prince Charles and worked and toured with artists such as José Feliciano, Jon Secada, Olivia Newton-John and The Tenors.
