On May 19th 2018, Prince Harry marries Meghan Markle in St George’s Chapel, Windsor. In this brand new series we share all the latest news from the very heart of London as the world counts down to the wedding of the decade. Royal Wedding Watch will serve as the ultimate backgrounder for royal fans anticipating the wedding in May, with five consecutive weeknights of programs from May 14-18. Royal Wedding Watch will air Monday, May 14- Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10 p.m. and on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV. 

Experts, commentators and guests join our hosts in studio to explore the bigger picture, while reporter Anita Rani is on location in Windsor where preparations for the wedding are well under way.

In Episode One: A Wedding is Announced, we’ll have all the news as well as learning more about the bride and groom. Historian Lucy Worsley reveals the story of how Queen Victoria set the trend for the modern white wedding, plus we’ll discover what it takes to be a Royal bride in training.

Episode Two: What to Wear shows the growing speculation about what Meghan is wearing, and historian Lucy Worsley steps into the archive to look at the dresses chosen by previous Royal brides while, back in the studio, experts and commentators join our hosts to unpack why Royal style is dictated as much by protocol and etiquette as it is by fashion. 

Episode Three: Ceremony takes us into the ceremony and traditions at the heart of a Royal Wedding. Meghan and Harry might be a very modern couple but there are still some rules that even they need to follow.

Episode Four: How to Celebrate is all about how to celebrate a Royal Marriage, and the Royal Family certainly know how to celebrate in style. Historian Lucy Worsley heads to Hampton Court Palace to discover the secrets behind a State banquet while, back in the studio, experts and commentators join our hosts to talk about everything from the carriage procession to the cake.

Episode Five: Happily Ever After takes place on the eve of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it's all the latest news from the very heart of London. The dress is chosen, the uniforms are pressed, the trumpeters are ready. Experts, commentators and guests join our hosts in studio for the final countdown, while reporter Anita Rani is on location in Windsor where crowds are gathering for the celebrations.
