Opioid Crisis: The Ripple Effect: A News Special Series

Opioid Crisis: The Ripple Effect. is a reporting news series which included reports from three telling locales across the country, to look at the people and issues indirectly affected by the opioid crisis and make the case that the epidemic’s ripple effects impact many.

The featured series was broadcast the week of April 9–15, 2018 as part of a public media collaborative funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), WXXI News, along with PBS/NPR partners OPB in Oregon, and ideastream in Ohio,.

Our work on this important community issue continues with on-air and on-demand programming, news coverage and a Second Opinion video toolkit to help organizations and area communities to engage in their own screening and talkback events.
