WXXI radio host Brenda Tremblay caught up with Classical 91.5 afternoon host Chris Van Hof, who is a member of the Po' Boys Brass Band, to talk about the band's music and upcoming performance in the Hochstein at High Falls Music Concert Series. The special segment will air Wednesday, June 3 between 6 a.m and 9 a.m. on AM 1370 and Classical 91.5.

The Po'Boys Brass Band — consisting of Evan Dobbins, Nick Finzer, Erik Jacobs, and Chris Van Hof on trombones, TJ Ricer on sousaphone, Mike Frederick on guitar and Chris Teal on drums—is a New Orleans-style brass/funk/rock band. The four-trombone front produces a sonic explosion not known by any other brass band standard.

Hochstein at High Falls Music Concert Series is part of the High Falls District’s revitalization effort, and the High Falls Business Association has teamed up with the Hochstein School of Music & Dance and WXXI to launch this noontime summer concert series. The series, which is hosted by Van Hof, includes six free outdoor concerts with the first one featuring The Po'Boys Brass Band this Thursday, June 4 at 12:15 p.m. To learn more about this concert series,  visit WXXI.org/events.
