Despite the warm, sunny weather, WXXI is doing its best to keep you home for a few evenings next week. Beginning this Sunday, we will have a very short Summer Membership Drive to help embark upon our new fiscal year.

WXXI News and the Innovation Trail are spearheading a new project called “Understanding the Affordable Care Act.” This on-going news series will help answer the community’s questions about Obamacare. The Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival is over, and Jazz Street has turned back to Gibbs Street. It was an amazing nine days of more than 300 performances held in 20 venues – one of which the Little Theatre was proud to be.

Thank you for making your pledge of support during our Spring Radio Membership Drive. Because of the community outpouring, we were able to reach our goal and shave nearly two days off our campaign. It obviously signals the value placed on public radio — especially WXXI News — so I'd like to share some information on a couple of our recent ventures.
