Thank you for making your pledge of support during our Spring Radio Membership Drive. Because of the community outpouring, we were able to reach our goal and shave nearly two days off our campaign. It obviously signals the value placed on public radio — especially WXXI News — so I'd like to share some information on a couple of our recent ventures.

I hope you had a chance to listen to the live broadcast of the RPO's Carnegie Hall concert on May 7th. Classical 91.5 was the only place you could have heard it in Rochester and the response has been nothing short of overwhelming — both for the performance and the presentation on WXXI-FM. As a result, we have had many requests for CDs or rebroadcasts of the RPO performance.

The Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall in New York City only seats 2,804. But if you are not one of those fortunate few attending the RPO's historic concert there on May 7th, then I have some exciting news for you!

I’m going to let you in on a “Little Secret.”  The partnership between WXXI and the Little Theatre just celebrated its second anniversary and so far, our relationship is going strong!

2014 marks a very special year for WXXI as Classical 91.5 celebrates its 40th anniversary and AM 1370 turns 30. You may have been among the visionary group of WXXI friends who helped to start these stations. Thank you for your continued support of our radio services that have expanded greatly in the past 40 years.
