As one of Rochester's long-standing companies, the unquestionable global impact of Xerox makes for a fascinating story. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Xerography, WXXI-TV presents three special programs on the dry photocopying technique and the company and leaders behind it.
WXXI and the Little Theatre are proud to support Greentopia, the annual interactive festival that spotlights what our region is doing to embrace the green movement. The festival runs September 10-15, and in anticipation of it, WXXI-TV has been presenting an encore broadcast of Ken Burns’ six-part series The National Parks, September 2-7 at 9 p.m.

As we enter our new fiscal year, I would like to thank everybody who stepped up and made membership pledges during our year-end campaign. With the 12th Annual Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival upon us, WXXI and the Little are big players! The Little Theatre is an official Club Pass venue this year, which means that Little Theatre One will be transformed into a concert hall during the nine days of the festival.
Aside from screening incredible independent films, the Little Theatre is innovative in its special events that provide access to industry innovators. This weekend, both film and access come into play as The Little brings D.A. Pennebaker, one of the most influential documentary filmmakers of all time, to Rochester for a weekend music film series.
WXXI has received an incredible response to the first two episodes of our 6-part Paley on Park Avenue: New York City web series. Viewers have been captivated by the videography, and many had no idea that Albert Paley was even taking on such an immense project.
The Rochester Philharmonic is one of our city's cultural treasures, but attending the concerts isn't possible for many in our community. That's why — for more than 30 years — WXXI has partnered with the RPO to make their concerts accessible for everyone!
