Best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday season!
By Norm Silverstein ~ Posted Wed, 12/22/2010 - 4:52pm
As 2010 draws to a close, I hope you’ll think about the positive difference that WXXI has made in your life, and consider a year-end gift to help keep your local public media service strong and independent.
From 15 hours daily of non-violent, commercial-free children’s programming to in-depth news and public affairs, WXXI is a source of engagement for young and old alike. From arts features that highlight musicians to productions that capture the history and beauty of our region, WXXI inspires the spirit and opens cultural horizons. From a free web-based educational video service for students and teachers, to a radio station dedicated to Classical Music, WXXI is a vital resource throughout our community.
Your year-end gift will ensure that we can continue our services into the New Year and beyond. Best of all, your investment in WXXI will pay dividends every day in programs and services that make this a better community for all of us. Please make your gift online by clicking here, or by calling the station at (585) 258-0200. And remember, a tax deductible gift can be in the form of cash or appreciated stock, whatever fits your budget (you may want to check with your financial advisor on ways to make a gift through an IRA).
At WXXI we have much to be thankful for – including the support of our community. Your support enables us to be a valued resource to children, teachers, music and art lovers, news followers, the curious and the inquisitive.
On behalf of all of us at WXXI, please accept my very best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday season!
