Counting Down to Downton!
By Norm Silverstein ~ Posted Mon, 12/10/2012 - 12:12pm
For fans of Downton Abbey, this is truly a wonderful time, and WXXI is the place where it all comes together! To jump start fans of the series, we recently aired Downton Abbey Revisited, which was a great capsule to help remind viewers of everything they missed from Seasons One and Two Seasons 1 and 2, plus interviews with the actors and creative team and rare behind-the-scenes footage. WXXI is also repeating Season 2 Sunday nights at 9:00, culminating to the BIG DAY when Season 3 premieres on January 6th!
I suspect many of you are anticipating the premiere, but until then, we can provide some enticement to get you through. WXXI and the Little Theatre will provide a day of Downton on December 16th, where we offer a special sneak peek of the first episode of Season 3! We are hosting four screenings, two of which are already full. But, we're still taking reservations for the 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. screenings. Call (585) 258-0200 to make your reservation today!
We also have a special web event on December 12th through YouTube. Beginning at 8 p.m. PBS will present a livestream of a Q & A panel with the cast and producers of Downton Abbey. To watch and participate click this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA-6n4d_dMo, which will go live at 8 p.m. on December 12.
To make it all easier, we have created a special Downton Abbey page here at WXXI.org. There you will find program times, information on the Downton screening at the Little, and discover all things Downton!
