From the President

Preview Ken Burns' "The Roosevelts" before it premieres this September.

We've been hearing a great deal about Ken Burns' new documentary series on the Roosevelts and we're looking forward to bringing you the seven-part series this September. This is the first time in a major documentary television series that the individual stories of Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt have been interwoven into a single narrative. The Roosevelts: An Intimate History airs Sunday, September 14 through Saturday, September 20 at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV.

If you just can't wait for the premiere, you're in luck. On Thursday, August 21 at 6:30 p.m. WXXI is hosting a FREE screening of a special highlight reel of The Roosevelts: An Intimate History at The Little Theatre. It's a 45-minute piece that will give you a taste of what's to come in September. To learn more, click here. We hope to see you there!

Classical 91.5 was the only place you could have heard it in Rochester and the response has been nothing short of overwhelming — both for the performance and the presentation on WXXI-FM. As a result, we have had many requests for CDs or rebroadcasts of the RPO performance.
