Election day is on its way

After an unprecedented campaign for the White House, November 8th is almost here. I hope our balanced and respectful reporting has given you the information you need to make an informed choice on Election Day. This includes our live coverage of the Presidential Debates from PBS NewsHour and NPR, insightful discussions on Connections with Evan Dawson, stories from our WXXI News reporters, including our Capitol Bureau Correspondent Karen Dewitt, as well as our Voice of the Voter debates. We'll host our final Voice of the Voter debate for the Monroe County Clerk office between Adam Bello, Monroe County Clerk (Democrat) and Cheryl Rozzi, Greece Town Clerk (Republican) on Monday, October 24 at 8 p.m. That debate will air live on AM 1370 and WXXI-TV, and stream on,, and

Starting at 8 p.m., WXXI News will report live from local campaign headquarters and provide results and analysis on local and national elections on AM 1370, online at, and reports on WXXI-TV. It’s a new year, and January is a special month at WXXI as we host our annual outreach initiative with our good friends at the Al Sigl Community of Agencies. This is our tenth year hosting Dialogue on Disability: The Herman & Margaret Schwartz Community Series, which celebrates the amazing lives of people with special needs.
