Classical Afternoons for June

Classical Afternoons for June

Weekdays from 2pm-7pm

"Do you recall that night in June
Upon the Danube River;
We listened to the ländler-tune,
We watched the moonbeams quiver."

- Charles A. Aïdé, Danube River.

Throughout the nights and days of June, tune in to Classical 91.5 and 90.3 for a great variety of classical music to accompany your adventures and keep you cool.

Throughout the afternoon and into the evening, there will be a chance to enjoy old favorites and new discoveries, roam throughout the centuries and around the world, and find plenty of connections to home.

June seems to be a pretty exciting month in Rochester. It begins with the International Viola Congress and wraps up with the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival.

There's plenty more in between, from the Eastman School of Music Summer Concerts to Hochstein at High Falls (stop by and say hi!) to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra's summer season, and many others that I have yet to discover.

Whereever you roam, don't forget that you can listen online to WXXI and stay in touch (Facebook / Twitter).
