Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks Releases Budget Plan
Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks is releasing her 2010 county budget proposal Tuesday morning.
She says the $914-million plan balances without raising taxes or fees, increasing spending, or reducing services. Democratic minority members on the County Legislature say they had little advance notice the budget plan was coming -- so they are still reviewing the details. They did note the county's tax levy is going up, so some taxpayers will be paying more in taxes.
