Has there been any discussion regarding CDC recommendation regarding just delivered moms that are poss or confirmed H1N1 and breastfeeding. Separation and isolation are advised. Moms are being encouraged to pump their breasts and babies to be given that milk. In reality, pumping in the first few days results in very little colostrum, therefore these at risk babies will most likely receive formula which gives them no protection and actually may put them more at risk with serious complications of H1N1 if they do develop it.
