1370 Connection: Rochester's High Poverty Rate
A new report says Rochester's poverty rate is at 29.4%. Only Buffalo has a higher poverty rate among New York's cities measuring 29.9%.
Monroe County's poverty rate is 13.1% according to the report. New York State has an overall poverty rate of 13.8% and is ranked 17th in the country.
