Gov. Cuomo Assesses Damage from the Air

WXXI Capitol Bureau Correspondent Karen DeWitt joined Governor Andrew Cuomo on a helicopter tour to survey flooding and wind damage from Hurricane Irene.

Karen reports the Albany region and many parts of Vermont sustained significant damage from heavy rains. Below are photos of her flight Monday.

As of 12:45 p.m. Monday, more than 890,000 customers in New York state still lacked power.
