Insurance Supt Warns of Wrongful Flood Claim Denials

State Insurance superintendent Benjamin Lawsky says his office has had reports that some New Yorkers flooded during Irene are incorrectly being told by their insurance companies that their flood insurance does not cover damages.

WXXI Capitol Bureau Correspondent Karen DeWitt reports Lawsky says flood insurance it applies regardless of the cause of the flooding.
