Polls Closed; Voter Turnout Low

The Monroe County Board of Elections reports that voter turnout was 31% as of 8:00 p.m. That's compared to 29% at the same time four years ago.

The highest profile county-wide races were for County Executive and District Attorney. WXXI News will have updates on results in key races tonight on WXXI-AM 1370, WXXI-TV and here on WXXI.org.

WXXI recorded Candidate Free Air Time video messages to help voters make a decision before going to the polls.

WXXI's Bob Smith interviewed County Executive Candidates Maggie Brooks and Sandy Frankel on 1370 Connection in advance of Election Day.

District Attorney Candidates Bill Taylor and Sandra Doorley also appeared on 1370 Connection on WXXI-AM 1370.
