How Much Gas & Employment Would Fracking Bring to NY?

While much of the discussion has focused on the environmental hazards of the gas drilling process, there is also debate over the economic benefits of fracking. A new map looks at drilling & unemployment in New York State.

Our news partner WNYC in New York City created the map below to compare unemployment rates by county to the estimated reach of the Marcellus shale - the target of potential hydrofracking in New York.
