Need to Know Rochester: Frederick Douglass Institute
This week on Need to Know Rochester, celebrating 25 years of the Frederick Douglass Institute at the University of Rochester and a sneak preview of Garth Fagan's newest creation on stage.
WXXI News Director Julie Philipp interviews Cilas Kemedijo, the Director of the Frederick Douglass Institute for African and African-American Studies at the University of Rochester.
Also, Garth Fagan provides a behind the scenes sneak peek at "Madiba" and explains this new performance's connection to Nelson Mandela. You can see that preview in the video box below.
