Debate Grows Over Gas Facility on Seneca Lake

WXXI Innovation Trail reporter Matt Richmond looks at the efforts of a group called Gas Free Seneca, which is mobilizing to block a plan to store liquefied propane in old salt mines near Seneca Lake.

Matt reports gas company Inergy purchased the old U.S. Salt plant in the Town of Reading for the gas storage.

Including a public hearing in Watkins Glen Tuesday, the public has until October 10 to comment on the project before the DEC makes a final decision.
