From the Top

From the Top celebrates the energy of America's kids and the power of classical music through broadcasts, live events, education programs, and more.

Hosted by acclaimed pianist Christopher O’Riley, each one-hour broadcast presents five high-caliber performances along with interviews, sketches and games, revealing the heart and soul behind extraordinary young musicians. From the Top is taped before live audiences in concert halls from Boston to Honolulu.

On December 21st, tune in for a four cello arrangement of the score for one of Hiyao Miyazaki's finest films, arranged by a young artist on the program. This month also includes performances from University of Connecticut, The Peace Center in Greenville, and from the home studio of From the Top.

From Colorado to Miami and up to New England, this month features performers from across the country telling their stories and showing their skills.

On 10/5, hear the brass quartet who call themselves "The Bone Rangers" performing Antonio Carlos Jobim's No More Blues. Also this month, enjoy talent from Boston, the Aspen Music Festival, and from the campus at the University of South Dakota.

From the Top broadcasts an encore presentation of the March 2014 performance at Kodak Hall in Eastman Theater.  Tune in to hear some of Rochester's best young musicians performing with Sir James Galway.  Later in the month, the annual "Where Are They Now Show."

From the Top visits Boston, MA; Princeton, NJ; and New Albany, OH in addition to two stops in the Lone Star State: El Paso and the Texas State International Piano Festival at Texas State University.
