Iowa Caucuses: A PBS NewsHour Special Report on WXXI-TV/HD

NewsHour Senior Correspondent Judy Woodruff reports live from the Iowa Convention Center with early results from the Caucuses.
PBS NewsHour presents coverage of the Iowa Caucuses in a 30-minute special broadcast, Tuesday, January 3 at 11 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD.  The NewsHour's regular political analysts, syndicated columnist Mark Shields and New York Times columnist David Brooks will also be in Iowa to discuss developments in this, the first electoral event of the GOP primary race and its implications for the 2012 presidential elections.

PBS NewsHour's Tuesday coverage of the Iowa Caucuses will begin during the regular NewsHour broadcast, beginning at 7 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD, which will be co-anchored by Gwen Ifill in the NewsHour studio and Judy Woodruff in Iowa.  David Brooks and Mark Shields will preview the Caucus from Iowa, with Stu Rothenberg, editor of the Rothenberg political report and Newshour political editor Christina Bellantoni offering perspective from the PBS NewsHour studio.

Along with the broadcast reporting, NewsHour will cover the Iowa Caucus extensively throughout the day online at pbs.org/newshour, including live streaming video for each broadcast, candidate speeches, the NewsHour Vote2012 interactive electoral map and more.
