WXXI is pleased to co-sponsor the presentation of The Little Theatre and Emerging Pictures presentation of International Opera in the Cinema. Featuring new productions from world-renowned La Scala and Italy's other great opera houses, this series marks The Little's first venture into digital programming.
The screenings will take place on Sundays at noon and Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. In the first presentation, Verdi's La Traviata, movie-goers will enjoy the artistry of Angela Gheorghiu, Ramon Vargas, Roberto Frontali with Lorin Maazel conducting, from La Scala (2008). Below is a schedule of operas for the fall and early winter.
