Love organ music? Here's what to expect on Pipedreams...
By Ruth Phinney ~ Posted Wed, 10/10/2007 - 8:15am
If you love organ music, then you'll want to tune in throughout October and November for these Pipedreams highlights.
Upcoming Pipedreams programming in October includes a centenary tribute to Helmut Walcha, a famous German organ teacher and Bach specialist; a special feature on the new organ at Verizon Hall, Philadelphia; excerpts from three past "Pipedreams Live!" events in Gainesville, Florida, New Brunswick, New Jersey, and Cincinnati, Ohio; a prelude to the November "Piping Hot!" Festival, and a show devoted entirely to American composers. Among November broadcasts, you'll hear Michael Barone as host in concert with the Dallas Wind Symphony, and a review of some recent CD releases.
